Kharkov. On request of board for religious works in framworks Jan. a charity distribution of hot vegitarian lunches for 3000 needy was organized in mess No 103 of Leningrad district.
In committe for religious affairs
On 22nd of Jan. a meeting of council of expert science was held at state committe of religious affairs. O.S.Sputnikov (Dharmraja dasa), head of ISKCON communication department in Ukraine, had taken part. According to the supposed working plan of year 1997, O.S.Sputnikov added in the organising commitee for preparation and carrying out the Internation scientific conference on "new religions of Ukraine: condition, remarks, forcasts" in April.
Meeting of representative of Ukranian Orthodox and Society for Krishna Consiousness
In Odessa, 22 of Jan. in the temple of Roshdestva Kristova held meeting between head of this temple Dosiphay and Ariha dasa, council member of Odessa community for Krishna Consiousness. They discussed a series of questions about siritual condition in the present society from point of view of Bible and Vedas. This type of meeting was held first time in Odessa.
